Context

Through the Member Networks project, PARN conducted a survey of 7000+ professionals, via 26 professional bodies, in order to gather views on member networks. This included questions about branches (or geographical groups), special interest groups (or non-geographical groups) where relevant, and other types of professional networks not organised by the professional body.

Output

"Fact: 33% of professionals rate their satisfaction with their branch as ‘high’ compared to 29% who rate it as ‘low’"

All participating professional bodies received a report comparing their members’ responses with the overall sample. The project sponsors received in-depth analysis reports containing case studies of individual members. The findings from this research are incorporated into Chapter 4 of Social Networking: Its benefits and challenges for professional bodies.
