Member Enquiries

Would you like to update policies, review current practice or introduce new procedures, but not sure where to start? Would you like to check out whether your ideas are in line with current practice? Can you offer practical tips to other professional bodies based on your experience? Then PARN's Member Enquiry service is here to help.

What is the member enquiry service?

The member enquiry system is a free service whereby members can circulate specific questions to our member network. The information is collated, analysed and a summary is produced illustrating the findings generated from the responses. This has the benefit of saving members’ time in finding out pertinent information quickly and helps prevent ‘reinventing the wheel’. Instead of contacting other professional bodies directly, PARN can circulate the enquiry on your behalf, and use the information gathered in a meaningful way. This is mainly in the form of summarising and analysing the data, but also by helping our members to network amongst themselves, by putting them in contact with each other should they wish to discuss a topic in greater detail.

Why should I respond to a member enquiry?

By responding to a member enquiry, you are entitled to a copy of the full responses given by all other professional bodies, providing a greater level of detail than the summary. Similarly, any response provided, no matter what the level of detail, is of great value to PARN and helps improve the quality of our knowledge about how professional bodies are operating in a variety of fields.

How do I formulate a member enquiry?

If you have any issues which you feel would be relevant to other professional bodies, or which other professional bodies may have good practice to share from previous experience, then contact D'Yon Peoples at dyon@parnglobal.com, who will be happy to offer advice on how to maximise the number of responses. Once you are happy with the questions, the enquiry can be circulated to our membership base comprising almost 150 professional bodies worldwide.

How do I access the archive of member enquiry summaries?

The online archive of Member Enquiries can be accessed through the Members Area of the PARN website. Members can log in via http://www.parnglobal.com/login.php. Here you can find all 150+ past enquiries categorised and searchable.
