Institute of Hospitality Seeking Speakers for Webinars Project

The Institute of Hospitality (IOH) is in the process of recruiting a selection of speakers and panellists for their series of CPD webinars. They are interested in obtaining the expertise and insight from a variety of subjects and positions outside of the hospitality industry.

IOH currently looking for speakers for two different types of webinars. These webinars will run for an hour and speakers will be a part of panel of speakers. The individual is expected, in addition to speaking at the webinar, there is an expectation to meet approximately a week beforehand to scope out ideas and frame the discussion. These webinars will then be posted on to the IOH website for member usage.

The first opportunity concerns their News webinars. Topics include:

  • Cost of living Crisis
  • Costs of energy for businesses
  • Zero Hour Contracts
  • Progress to net zero since Cop26

The second area the Institute is addressing is their Curriculum webinars, here the following areas will be discussed:

  • Monitoring and managing income and costs, forecasting, resource allocation, and improvement projects
  • Developing contingency plans, consistent with levels of service, business standards, and requirements
  • Understanding of how to consistently communicate and engage individuals and teams
  • Understanding of the impact of service failure and developing and implementing successful service recovery strategies
  • Using customer feedback as a competitive tool
  • Understanding of the ethos of diverse and inclusive culture

In addition to this call, the Institute of Hospitality is willing to extend its own services to any participants, offering to speak at the responding organisations’ CPD webinars.
