The Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) champions the power of planning in creating prosperous places and vibrant communities. We shape planning policy, raise professional standards and are the only body in the UK to confer Chartered status to planners, the highest professional qualification.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Director of Communications to lead the RTPI’s communications and public affairs functions to raise the profile and impact of the work of the RTPI, planning and planners. In this new position, you will develop and implement political engagement, media relations and communication strategies and will drive the achievement of corporate objectives as part of the Senior Executive Team.
You will have senior level experience of delivering highly successful communications and public affairs strategies in a professional membership setting, experience of managing high performing teams and experience of presenting and responding to all forms of the media.
