The Association of International Accountants (AIA) has been named as the latest organisation to join the government's Northern Powerhouse Partner Programme.
AIA’s particular focus is in on building skills, improving social mobility and developing practical skills to enable life-long learning amongst its 14,000 members.
AIA President, Les Bradley said:
“I am delighted that AIA has been approved as a Northern Powerhouse Partner and I am looking forward to working with like-minded organisations to promote financial skills education and support business growth in the region. AIA’s experience in education and skills training across the financial sector through links with universities and academic institutions, alongside a network of trusted business advisers, means we are well placed to support the ambitious objectives of the government’s Northern Powerhouse strategy."
Northern Powerhouse Minister, Jake Berry MP, said:
