HAVE YOUR SAY: PARN TO RESPOND TO DECLARATION ON FUTURE RELATIONSHIP WITH EU

PARN Global News Article - 16 November 2018

PARN has been asked to provide commentary on the political declaration on the future relationship between the EU and the UK

As previously announced, PARN CEO Andy Friedman has been invited to sit on the PBSC. As part of his role on the council Andy has been asked to submit the opinion of PARN on the Political declaration issued by the government on Wednesday that outlines the framework for the future relationship between the European Union and the UK. The response from PARN will be used to help generate a complete response from the PBSC.

In order to help PARN with their response we are asking PARN members to please read the Political Declaration and in particular the section on Services  which can be found on page 2 of the document. We are then asking PARN members to submit their thoughts and opinions on the declaration to [email protected] we will use these responses in order to help draft the overall PARN response.

This pivotal opportunity provides a meaningful platform for voices of professional body members - at government level.

Whilst you will of course have personal responses to many of the areas presented in the document - and do please express these - we particularly want to hear your thoughts on:

  • the services paragraphs
  • the impact upon our professional body sector
  • the role of the UK in professional education internationally.

Timescales are remarkably tight and PARN will be feeding back thoughts from its members by 23 November. However, please don’t worry if you miss this deadline. We still want to hear from you and provide other opportunities to ensure your thoughts and opinions are shared and heard by those best placed to act upon them.

Please read the political declaration here and forward any comments to [email protected]
