The Winners of the PARN ATN Awards are Announced!

29th February 2024

The Professional Associations Research Network (PARN) is delighted to announce the organisations recognised for their exceptional commitment to the ‘Ask The Network’ service in 2024 through the Ask The Network Engagement Awards.

Alex Witt (ATN Coordinator) celebrates the ATN Engagement Awards, describing ATNs as ‘an invaluable tool that offers regular opportunities to benchmark against other active members in the sector. PARN takes great pride in the service, and we greatly appreciate anyone who has contributed to the ATNs, whether that is one survey or ten!’

This year marks a special moment in PARN’s ATN history as the service reached a new record in total responses across a single year. Reaching a total of 383 responses, we received responses from 124 organisations, another record for the service. Further still, we reached a new milestone in averaging a response of 20 contributions throughout the year.

Alex would like to thank you all: ‘These numbers could not be achieved without YOUR support, and we remain incredibly grateful for all contributions - it is a demonstration of the strength, unity and engagement across the sector.

Testimonials:

Talking to our winners, we heard from Sara Robertson, Chief Executive of the Institute of Translation and Interpreting. They explained that they place a ‘great deal of value in receiving focused insights on specific topics and see ATNs as ‘an opportunity to interrogate your own practices, so offers a useful moment of reflection. Sara and her team particularly make use of our ATN archive that is ever-expanding thanks to the sectors continued support.

David Morgan, Chief Executive of the Career Development Institute similarly expressed the value of obtaining insight from a wide range of organisations that help the CDI ‘build our knowledge and identify opportunities for further to development’.

Underlining the importance of sector contributions, David added that the sector should complete these surveys as often as they can to effectively share knowledge from a wide range of organisations, to help us all support our professions most effectively.’

Ask The Network Service

Ask The Network Surveys are short, impactful surveys that enable members and non-members across the sector to share insights on topics of their choice. These surveys contribute to a valuable pool of knowledge and facilitate active engagement.

Recognition and Awards:

Those receiving the ATN Engagement award will be presented a digital badge for display on their website. Winners will also be invited to the next PARN conference.

Encouraging Collaboration:

The Network is dedicated to promoting best practices and equipping professional bodies to address common challenges. The ATN Engagement Awards are a natural extension of this mission, inspiring others to foster active and meaningful engagement within the professional body sector.

Looking Ahead:

The Engagement Award has helped to drive forward ATNs and we are considering how we may be able to incorporate other recognition programs to celebrate collaboration and commitment to the sector.
